You want to be an important member of a strong team of other makers who take pride in their work and support each other. As an Associate Material Handler, you will be responsible for ensuring all raw materials and components are available to the production team to ensure all customer demands are met with an emphasis on good safety practices. **WHAT YOULL BE DOING**

Drive forklift to move material from warehouse racking or mixing department to the production department. (25%)

Drive forklift to return product from production and mixing departments back to the warehouse racking. (25%)

Working with the warehouse to put away received product and to pull transfer orders. (25%)

Work as a team on the work order to complete production orders, going to the warehouse to obtain raw materials and component needs from the warehouse racking. (20%)

Complete other tasks as assigned. (5%)

All percentages are approximations and could change on a daily basis.

**DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**

If you can do everything listed above, youve got what it takes. Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too:

* High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is preferred.

* Valid Illinois Drivers License is required.

* SST Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Certification is required (will certify at hire).

* 1 year of related experience or training is required.

* Communication: Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend English at a minimum of 6th grade level. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

* Math Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

* Analysis/Reasoning: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

* Safety: Ability to consistently prioritize safety by demonstrating a safe work practice by promoting a safe work environment.

* Equipment: Ability to operate forklift, reach truck, and pallet jack

* Quality: Ability to follow both written and oral instructions, including safety guidelines, work instructions, and company policies.

* Technical: Ability to access and execute virtual transactions on the company tablet/computer.

**TRAVEL REQUIRED**

This job requires 0% domestic travel.

**WORK STATUS & LOCATION**

This full-time, non-exempt position is located in West Chicago, IL.

**RELOCATION**

Relocation is not available for this position.
