Schedule: M - F 10am-3pm with flexibility for more hours, as required The Material Handler Senior is responsible for the receiving, stocking, picking and delivery of product and equipment for each in house facility. A Material Handler Senior functions at a mentorship level with other levels of personnel and is assigned the more sophisticated and difficult tasks within the work center. * High school diploma or equivalent, Drivers License required * 2 years of experience in material handling or other customer facing role * Microsoft Outlook experience required * Strength (Lift/Carry/Push/Pull) : Medium (Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, or 10 to 25 pounds of force constantly to move objects) * Standing/Walking: Constantly; activity exists 2/3 or more of the time * Keyboarding/Dexterity: Occasionally; activity exists up to 1/3 of the time * Must be able to effectively communicate verbally * Must be able to distinguish and identify colors Environmental Conditions: * Must follow standard precautions and wear PPE when required. May handle biohazard materials and chemicals. Dress Code: Black or khaki pants, INTEGRIS Supply Chain mgt shirt, comfortable shoes The Material Handler Senior responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: * Operates standard warehousing equipment, while abiding by OSHA warehousing equipment regulations and guidelines. Equipment includes manual and electric pallet jacks, e-z go picking carts, etc. * Counts inventory items and assesses need for ordering. * Utilizes replenishment scanning system for order placement. *Picks inventory orders in a timely manner and packages them neatly and accurately for distribution. * Delivers supply orders to designated location utilizing RFSMart delivery scanning software for accurate tracking and documentation of deliveries. * Restocks and/or puts away supply orders utilizing the FIFO method. * Maintains clean and organized supply rooms, PAR carts, and storage areas by cleaning and dusting, as needed, by maintaining readable labels, and by maintaining correctly sized bins for each designated product and by collaborating with clinical leadership on the appropriate supplies kept in each storeroom. * Performs inventory transactions in the ERP to ensure accurate inventory levels and values, as well as to ensure accurate accounting for the departments. * Inspects and puts away incoming supplies for the general inventory and validates the product received against the packing slip and purchase order. *Inspects all deliveries for any department by validating product received against the packing slip and/or purchase order. * Responsible for unloading and unboxing freight, as required. * Checks stock levels in the assigned area and reports any stock outs to the Materials Manager. * Utilizes ERP for troubleshooting and problem solving solutions for purchasing, inventory, shipment, and receiving errors. * Responsible for cleaning equipment (e.g. CRRT machines, K-thermia machines) as assigned. * Responsible for plugging in equipment in ready state including hardware, iPads, scanners, etc. in addition to patient care equipment, as assigned. * Assists with physical inventory and cycle counts. * Maintains a clean, orderly, and organized work area. * Promotes positive relations with all internal and external customers. * Participates in daily huddles. * Picks up and delivers patient care equipment to nursing units while monitoring equipment levels kept in the work area. * Assists with product conversions at the assigned location & facilitates necessary changes related to the conversion. * Assists with product recalls at the assigned location. * Provides advice and training to new employees and Material Handler caregivers. * Responsible for exchanging, checking, restocking, refreshing, and charging of adult and pediatric crash carts, packs, and components and checking for expiration dates of supplies. * Builds custom supply packs and manages inventory of specialized packs by performing regular stock rotations and requesting supplies to build and maintain backstock. * Performs RFID tagging on designated products. * Checks supplies for expirations on a house wide basis and replaces as needed. * Stocks, picks, and distributes medical supplies from the Stat Room inventory as necessary when our primary supplier has backordered a product in order to ensure a backup for the supply carts is readily available. * Participates in sign off hand off tool at end/ beginning of shift in the Metro. * Runs, generates, and proficiently analyzes inventory and supply reports for successful completion of daily goals and project assignments including but not limited to Smart Par report in WM, Medline's fill/kill report, Inventory Management's stock out report. *Participates in clinical huddles and other meetings when called upon for collaboration and input into supply-related needs or issues especially when stock outs, backorders, allocations, or delivery issues may impact supply items for patient care. * Participates in rotating call schedule via designated on-call phone or pager for any urgent supply-related needs or requests.
