Job Description:
BASIC FUNCTION:Move raw and finished materials throughout the facility utilizing kit carts, pallet jack and forklift to meet requirements of production cells and CP&S customers. Accurately complete all related transactions within inventory software including receiving and pulling of stock, kitting and back flushing work orders, and stock move transactions. Support the production efforts through the loading of lines, helping with fastener variance issues, breaking down and removing obstructing material, relocating product and pulling finished goods from the line.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:* Move material throughout the plant either manually, by hand, cart or forklift to put away stock, pull stock, pull sales orders to meet the requirements of Crane customers and/or Crane manufacturing.* Respond to Andon lights and sounds in a timely manner.* Assist Assemblers with production related needs to ensure minimal cell downtime.* Locate product in a proper location or assign a location.* Pull product kits accurately using a pick list or store requisition.* Input all transactions into inventory system by computer.* Adhere to Kanban system rules for inventory.* Responsible for keeping the cells properly stocked.* Retrieval of production material in all locations of the facility, including outside locations* Need to understand the dispatch list for priorities and the amount of work available both at the assembly line and kitted.* Pull sales orders as required and pack for shipment.* Maintain a clean and safe work area.* Break down, relocate, and separate production related waste.* Adhere to the safety and conduct policies.* Continually look for visual quality problems.* Audit inventory levels in area of focus* Other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:* Math skills and some computer knowledge required* Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.* Sitting may be up to 1/3 of the time* Must reach, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl* Be able to read part numbers and directions provided on a worksheet* Ability to work with other people in a team environment* Forklift experience preferred* Hepatitis Vaccinations required (cost will be covered by the company)This description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work being performed by employees within this classification.
