Title: Material Handler Pay: $15.00 per hour Hours: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm, Monday - Friday Location: Grand Junction, CO Accepting Applications Until: 9/30/2024 Temp-to-hire What you will do: Manually load and unload materials from delivery vehicles, ensuring safe and efficient handling. Transport materials to designated areas within the facility, using carts, hand trucks, or by hand. Organize and store materials in assigned locations, ensuring proper labeling and easy accessibility. Supply production areas with materials as needed, ensuring continuous workflow. Assist with inventory management by conducting regular counts and updating records. Prepare materials for shipping by manually packing, labeling, and organizing items. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety and cleanliness standards. Inspect materials for damage or defects, reporting any issues to the supervisor. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate material handling. Assist with the disposal or recycling of materials as directed by the supervisor. Perform other tasks as assigned to support warehouse or production operations. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a material handling or warehouse role is preferred. Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds). Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately. Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors.
