Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: Under the supervision of the Director, Supply Chain the key roles are responsible for performing various duties pertaining to Inventory management, which includes receiving all product into stock room, putting material away, kitting material., cycle counting. Organizing and maintaining the warehouse. Kitting per the priorities set by production control. Responsible for performing all required transactions in the ERP system. Keep accurate and detailed records. Responsible for part identification, general housekeeping. Assist with production as required which may include, but not limited to assisting on the receiving side which includes all aspects of receiving, etc. To excel in this key role, you must be able communicate clearly. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

  • Responsible for the safe movement of materials within the dock, warehouse and manufacturing floor.
  • Responsible for receiving, unpacking, verifying counts and all paperwork and performs required receipt transactions within the ERP system the day the product arrives.
  • All receivers must be scanned into the system in timely fashion for accurate traceability.
  • Responsible to transact into the warehouse and locate material as required within the ERP system.
  • Responsible for kitting material for production work orders, or machines orders.
  • Maintains inventory on parts, tools, equipment, and spares as required.
  • Handles and dispose of hazardous materials and recyclable materials as per all DOT, State and Federal regulations.
  • Responsible to process returns of defective material back to suppliers.
  • Resolve any discrepancies, or issues as they arise.
  • Performs cycle counts, stock counts and report and resolve all discrepancies.
  • Practices good housekeeping; cleans organizes work areas, including the dock, warehouse areas, including sweeping etc.
  • Assist other personnel and production areas as directed or assigned.
  • Takes initiative to explore and suggest new approaches that can impact quality and/or job performance and organizational effectiveness.
JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ability to demonstrate proficiency in warehouse and receiving.
  • Experience in performing transactions in an inventory management database.
  • Must be certified/and or willing to be trained in the handling of hazardous waste per DOT requirements.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Excellent communications skills, verbal and written.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy in counting, receipts, and all paperwork.
  • Knowledge of proper packaging.
QUALIFICATIONS - EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • 2 -3 years' experience in warehouse and receiving.
  • High School Diploma
  • Math skills
  • Time management skills
  • Computer experience in various type data bases
  • Experience using an ERP system a plus!
PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS:
  • Prolonged Standing / sitting at times.
  • Prolonged walking.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs., carrying 10lbs plus, and heavier with assistance.
  • Ability to use Hand trucks, conveyors and other material handling equipment.
  • Exposure to heat, cold, dust, chemicals, moist or dry climate.
  • Must be able to work with or around chemicals and loud noises.
  • Must be able to wear required safety protective equipment including but not limited to Safety Shoes, Glasses, and ESD coats.
  • May work in a clean room environment and wear clean room attire.
  • 8-hour shift, over time may be required at times, flexible on start time.
