A Material Handler will be responsible for moving goods around warehouses or other industrial sites. In addition to loading and unloading deliveries from trucks and placing products in the designated locations.Position Requirements:Maneuvering forklifts safely within the facilityStacking and unstacking goods onto shelves or palletsMoving goods from storage areas to loading areas for transportUnloading deliveries and safely relocating the goods to their designated storage areasRegularly checking forklift equipment for faults or damages and reporting if neededWrapping pallets to prepare goods for transportKeeping up to date on any safety regulations, as well as forklift operating proceduresConsolidating pallets as neededAccuracy and attention to detailAble to work independently with some directionAble to read and comprehend written instructionsAble to perform simple math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)Basic computer/keyboarding skillsComfortable in a fast-paced environmentStand, sit, walk, push, pull, twist and bend to the floor for the duration of a work periodLift/carry/maneuver heavy material or equipment up to 50 poundsMust have positive communication and interpersonal skillsEducation Required:High school diploma or equivalent
