Material Handler Unloads, moves, and stores a variety of materials, parts, or products using standardized procedures. Unloads incoming materials: checks identification, reports shortages or damage, moves, stores, stacks, and arranges. Moves materials between departments: follow routing or tickets to fill orders from storage, stock or other departments. Loads materials for shipping: place materials on pallets, trays, racks, etc., install strapping, bracing, or padding. May operate a power lift truck, hand truck, dolly, or other device. May be responsible for records of materials. Required Physical Requirements: • Possess fingertip and hand dexterity • Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach within hands and arm's length, push, pull, stoop, kneel, and crouch • Ability to lift and/or move 50 pounds • Ability to read and comprehend information on labels • Ability to stand for extended periods of time • Ability to work around hot machinery • Ability to work in an open warehouse environment, subject to seasonal weather (hot/cold) Required Experience Education & Experience: • High school diploma or equivalent • Must have good written and oral communication skills • Must have 2+ years of shipping experience in a manufacturing/warehouse setting • Forklift experience • Familiarity with inventory and scales • Follow oral and written instructions and work orders • Multitask, self-motivated, and work with little to no supervision Additional Details: Individuals interested in this position should apply for this position through the website in which you are viewing this opportunity or apply directly at the Mueller Water Products' career portal.
