JOB SUMMARY:

Using the Shop Floor Packet and Pick List “pick” all “child” parts and weld fixture needed for the job. Stage the parts on a pallet or cart. Using the handheld scanner gun, issue parts to the job, taking note of the correct bin location. Using the Work Instruction insert in the Shop Packet, stage the required container size and quantity for the job. Transport incoming and outgoing materials to designated areas as assigned. The position will expand to the Brake Press Area, staging and transporting materials to and from the operators. Operate forklift, electrical hoist, other power-driven equipment or pallet jack to load or move materials. This position will include shipping/receiving cross training as well.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES, QUALIFICATIONS, AND BASIC SKILL LEVELS:

  • High School education supplemented by an on-the-job training program, including outside training.
  • Knowledge of computers, Windows environment including basic Microsoft application software, i.e. Excel and Word and Macola Software.
  • Basic knowledge in business operations, business machines and other equipment incidental to the job.
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment physical.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Confer with department manager to ascertain the needs and requirements of the customer.

· Supply production area with needed materials.

· Load and unload material onto or from pallets, trays or shelves.

· Process required paperwork.

· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

· Work is subject to procedures relating to your department.

· Perform other duties as instructed or directed by direct supervisors.
