In this role you will pick material, pack materials, count materials, weigh materials, measure materials, and inventory materials.Essential Functions:Responsible for performing the physical or administrative tasks supporting the receiving, storing, picking and distribution of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment, rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary.Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications.Stock and distribute materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.May lift heavy items and may operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, etc. upon receipt of internal certificationRemains stationary for for extended periods of timeChecking the quality and condition of incoming materials before they are accepted into inventoryKeeping accurate records of inventory levels, organizing stock in the warehouse, and performing cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracyStoring materials in an organized manner within a warehouse or storage facility, ensuring that items are placed in the correct location for easy retrievalSelecting and preparing materials for shipment or production, which includes picking the correct items and packing them securelyOperating material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, or automated retrieval systems to move materials safelyAdhering to workplace safety standards and regulations to prevent accidents and injuriesCompleting paperwork or digital records related to shipping, receiving, and inventory managementWorking with other team members and departments to ensure the smooth flow of materials through the supply chainMaintaining a clean and safe work environment by organizing work areas and disposing of waste properlyIdentifying and resolving discrepancies in shipments or inventory and reporting any issues to supervisorsBeing available to work overtime, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed to meet operational demands and ensure that all material handling tasks are completed within required timeframesQualifications:Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/associate's degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience .Preferred Additional Skills:Good communication and collaboration skillsIdentify issues and come up with practical solutions in a dynamic warehouse environment.Efficiently managing time to fulfill various tasks throughout the day to meet deadlines and productivity goals.Familiarity with inventory management systems, databases, and basic computer skillsThe ability to adapt to changing schedules, tasks, and environmentsAccurate record-keeping for inventory control, tracking shipments, and ensuring compliance with regulationsL3Harris Technologies is proud to be an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
