Job Description:

1st Shift Monday - Friday 8-5pm

JOB SUMMARY:

Support the movement of materials in and out of the company, with minimal supervision, using company directed procedures and objectives to meet inside and outside customer commitments through a maximization of resources available.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Pallet jack and lifting items to carts weighing up to 125lbs. Log all receiving's on in-house computer, receive daily receiving's into Great Plains and deliver products to proper persons or location. Pay special attention to daily deliveries of Fab Machine down tools and log tool status upon delivery to Fab.
  • Weekly unloading of 55-gallon Chemical drum deliveries, uncrating and the use of chain hoist loading drums onto Drum wheel dolly's, labeling and moving to stocking locations. This requires the push/pulling of full Chemical drums weighing 375 lbs - 750 lbs.
  • Prepare out going materials such as Pumps, chillers and empty drums for shipments in accordance with company procedures, shipping instruction documents, and hazardous materials regulations.
  • Deliver parts as needed to Maintenance Crib and support personnel.
  • Monitor weekly workload for purposes of maintaining Chemicals and Gas cylinder stocking levels. Place orders as required.
  • File as required and maintain historical shipping records to assist in company audits.
  • Support company initiatives, such as; quality, safety and environmental management, CQI, 5S, yield management, and cost containment.
  • Perform other duties as required.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Knowledge of logistics, shipping and receiving is recommended but not required. Operating electric pallet jack, fork lift and chain hoist.
  • Logistic employees are required to pass the CFATS or Home Land Security training during their 1st week upon hire.
  • Skill in computer knowledge, interpersonal relationships, strong communication, priority setting and organization, Desire for personal motivation and willingness to learn in a face pace environment. Crate and pallet building.
  • Typically requires 1 - 3 years previous experience in shipping and receiving.
