We are seeking a Material Handler to become a part of our team!JOB DESCRIPTION: Operate forklift in all warehouse and fabrication shop operations. Perform pre-shift forklift safety inspections. Observe forklift operations so that malfunctions can be detected and notify supervisor of any malfunctions. Pack orders and wrap, band or bundle for shipping; lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using forklift. Count finished products to determine if product orders are complete, mark or tag identification on parts. Load and unload items from machines, tables, shelves, racks and turntables. Help machine operators and production workers by loading and unloading material onto machines tables and turntables. Separate products according to weight, grade, size, and composition of materials used to produce them. Place products in equipment or on work surfaces for further processing, inspecting, or wrapping. Remove products, machine attachments, and waste material from machines. Pack and store materials and products. Tie products in bundles for further processing or shipment, following prescribed procedures. Transfer finished products, raw materials, tools, or equipment between storage and work areas of plants and warehouses, by hand or using hand trucks or powered lift trucks. Prepare raw materials for processing. Count raw materials and products to ensure inventory. Load and unload trucks Pack products and product parts during processing. Clean work areas, machines, equipment, vehicles, and products. Repack, relabel, stack, and prepare products for stocking or shipping. Wear many hats and may be asked to assist with other areas in the shop/office/warehouse. Attendance at work during the regularly scheduled shift is an essential duty. This includes, but is not limited to the ability to be present at work, arrive on time and be at the workstation ready for work at the start of the shift. Perform other duties as assigned.
