Forward is a single resource for your shipping needs.Position: Material HandlerCore Responsibilities & Duties:Process all aspects of materials using warehouse inventory softwareLabel and ship orders according to established procedures for each customerAccurately pick and weigh all shipmentsInspect freight and follow appropriate reporting proceduresAssist with inventory and cycle countsRotate and re-stock shelves according to inventory proceduresVerify all inbound and outbound materialsProvide prompt and accurate customer serviceArrange and maintain filing and recording systemsDocument monthly activities for period end reportingSafely load and unload trailers by utilizing equipment such as hand trucks/pallet jacks and forkliftsShrink wrap freight palletsMaintain a clean and save working environmentOther duties as assignedJob Requirements & Qualifications:High school diploma or GED equivalentMinimum of 2 years' experience of general warehouse knowledgeExcellent customer service skillsExcellent verbal and written communicationComputer skills, including Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.Warehouse Oracle Database Experience is a plusMust be able to frequently lift and/or move up to fifty (50) poundsForklift Certification preferredAbility to work under minimal supervisionAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and managersWhat We Offer:Competitive base salaryPaid time off within the first year of employment, sick time and holidaysCompany provided life insuranceHealth, vision, and dental insurance optionsCommuter benefit planOptional supplemental life insurance401(k)Wellness programA great place to work with a terrific culture#INDAbout UsSince 1990, Forward Air has been a leading provider of ground transportation and related logistics services to the North American air freight and expedited LTL market.
