JOB SUMMARY: To manually, by hand truck or by forklift, move materials, supplies and finished goods to designated areas in the facility or onto trucks.Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Competencies: Delivers and retrieves wire and equipment from the Heading floor and/or moves production parts to various operations. Performs stocking and re-stocking, ensuring that all product and materials have accurate weight and/or piece count. Verifies that all product and materials have accurate and appropriate identification tags, documentation, and/or paperwork. Coordinates with subcontractors and prepares necessary paperwork and documentation for all jobs requiring outside processing. Prepares pallets, loads and unloads raw material and finished product onto and off delivery trucks. Performs cycle counting. Performs record keeping, data entry, and housekeeping and follows safety regulations.OTHER COMPETENCIES:Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out basic written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills: Basic computer skills required. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Forklift certification.Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). One (1) year experience working in a fast-paced warehouse or manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop or bend. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to very loud.
