BASIC FUNCTIONResponsible for supporting Manufacturing by expediting the movement of parts to appropriate work centers. Assumes ownership for processing work on a timely and quality basis and adhering to standard expediting. Must have ability to juggle multiple priorities and be customer-focused. Also needs to be a self-starter and take direction well from supervisor. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs daily duties such as:
- Assist Materials Coordinator in maintaining inventory cycle counts and locations.
- Ensure all incoming delivery matches the company purchase order.
- Assist in the unloading and unpacking of incoming parts and materials.
- Transfer in process parts to various departments within the shop and to the stockroom.
- Assist shop leaders in locating work orders, parts and materials within the shop.
- Pick parts from stockroom for weldments and assemblies.
- Clean oils and rust off of materials before being welded.
- Transfer scrap from various departments to the proper locations.
- Assist shop employees in handling oversized parts.
- Keep raw material and weld shop neat and clean.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor in the event of special projects or unplanned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED AND PREFERRED:High school diploma or equivalent working experience. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:Communication skills to interact with others. Able to lift up to 50 pounds. Routine machine shop environment on ground floor.
