We create more efficient ways for shippers and carriers to transport goods across North America.As a Material Handler in Expedite at RXO, youll play an important role in making sure freight gets where it needs to go.What your day-to-day will look like:Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing orders to sales associates for processingRead customer orders, work orders, shipping orders and requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed and/or shippedFill requisitions, work orders or requests for materials, tools and other stock items; distribute items to shipping teamEnsure warehouse is accessible and safe for employee and customer trafficComplete your work in a safe manner; adhere to all safety policies and proceduresWhat youll need to excel:At a minimum, youll need:To be at least 18 years of ageThe ability to do basic math calculations, with and without a calculatorItd be great if you also have:Availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends, due to varying freight volumesDock or warehouse experience in the transportation industryForklift experience in a freight or Less-than-Truckload (LTL) environmentExperience loading and unloading trailersBasic written and verbal communication skillsIn this role, youll be supported by a passionate team motivated by fast-paced innovation and the desire to deliver for customers.
