Description This role is responsible for shipping customer orders in accordance with all company and customer requirements. The Material Handler will also receive, sample, store and distribute raw materials, supplies, and packaged in-process and finished goods within the facility. Job Details Role Specific Responsibilities:
- Ensures workplace safety by making Behavior Based Safety Observations, and practices and follows all site safety policies, guidelines, and procedures
- Follows all Aurorium current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
- Adheres to all Aurorium Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Prepares, inspects, and ships all customers orders in strict adherence with company and customer requirements
- Loads and unloads trailers per DOT and company requirements
- Ensures carriers safely enter and exit the facility, and confirms that carriers are aware of plant safety requirements
- Conducts and ensures cycle counts are accurate for tracking inventory
- Moves material, including finished products, in-process materials and raw materials from receiving/warehouse and production areas from/to approved storage locations
- Takes samples of raw materials and other materials for analysis as necessary
- Completes shipment preparation, receiving of materials and supplies, generates and applies product and shipping labels based on customer shipments, communicate with customer service, fellow supply chain team members and/or carriers as needed
- Packs and prepares sample orders
- Coordinates warehouse storage to facilitate location of items for shipping and production purposes
- Uses forklift truck to move and stack filled/empty drums or containers
- Assists in cross-training team members and co-workers as needed
- Understands and executes Emergency Response procedures to mitigate unplanned events
- Maintains outstanding housekeeping and 5S, keeping workspaces clean, orderly and tidy
- Completes other project work as necessary to support safe operations within the job responsibilities

- Reports all Health, Safety and Environmental accidents, incidents and near misses promptly

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Additional IATA, IMDG, DOT, and Forklift Certification required
- 1 year of experience in a chemical or manufacturing plant, ideally in a warehouse is preferred
- Experience driving a Fork Truck safely
- Experience with Emergency Response, warehousing, DOT and general chemical manufacturing background desired
- Experience wearing required PPE including safety glasses, hard hat, steel toe shoes, gloves, and a respirator
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs and priorities
- Self-motivated and ability to work within a fast-paced environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and mathematical skills
- Ability to execute strenuous, sometimes repetitive physical work such as lifting, pushing or pulling objects up to 55 pounds, working outside in all weather conditions, climbing ladders, standing, reaching, etc.
- Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, and/or overtime as needed
- Ability to stand and ride forklift for long periods of time
