Apply for tomorrow's opportunity today, with Volt Volt is immediately hiring for Material Handlers in Smyrna, TN As a Material Handler you will:
- 1st Shift 6am - 2:30pm, 2nd shift 3:30pm - 12am M-F
- Training schedule for first two weeks: Materials will train 7-330. Must be able to work all training days
- Experience using various tools including manual/electric/pneumatic tools, fork truck (including stand-up), jib crane, templates/fixtures, hand carts, measuring devices and prescribed safety equipment.
- Read production schedules, inventory reports, and work orders to determine type and quantity of materials required, availability of stock, and order priority.
- Read and interpret Bills of Material (BOM's), job notes, and prints.
- Label all racks, part bins, and shelves in storage areas and work cells.
- Examine material received, verify part numbers, and check discrepancies, such as damaged or unmarked parts.
- Use inventory scanning system to scan into/out of locations.
- Must be versatile to work in different areas of the department.
This is a full time opportunity. The ideal candidate will have:
- Warehouse employees must be able to drive a stand-up and sit-down forklift and pass a forklift certification requirement.
- Must be able to communicate effectively.
- Will regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, squat, reach to or below shoulder level, lift, carry, push, pull, and use hands to handle and feel.
- Will require to climb and reach above shoulder level.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
