Purpose of position: Under general supervision, check, store and organize materials from the warehouse.Duties and Responsibilities: The following duties are typical of those performed by employees in this job title; however, employees may perform other related duties, and not all duties listed arenecessarily performed by each employee in the job title:Material Handler - 2nd Shift - ($1500 Sign on Bonus) Local Candidates Only!Forklift Operator / Order PullerEastern Metal Supply has immediate openings for experienced and reliable Warehouse Professionals that can safely operate a forklift, pull and bundle orders and load/unload trucks.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:* Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas* Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, or product code* Restock material in assigned bin location; or fill requisitions for materials and distribute items to designated delivery trucks* Stack or assemble materials into bundles and band bundles together; package orders for shipping, pick up or truck delivery* Measure, cut and package material* Complete Material Movement paperwork* Open boxes, crates, and other containers* Examine stock for deterioration and defects, and reports findings* Assist in counting of physical inventory* Inspect Raymond forklift daily for damages and report findings* Load and operate Raymond forklifts, load trucks for next day deliveries* Keep warehouse and work area organized at all times* Comply with Company and OSHA policies; participate in safety and accident preventative meetings* Wear safety equipment at all times* Perform facilities maintenance duties as needed* Other duties may be assigned to meet business needsEMS Offers:* $1500 Sign on Bonus* Competitive pay!* Paid Time Off!* Company Matched 401K Plan!* Company Paid Long Term Disability Insurance!* Company Paid Life Insurance!* PPO Health and Dental Insurance Available!Qualifications:* Forklift experience a plus, but not necessary* Basic math skills* Read tape measure* Must be able to work Monday-FridayPhysical Demands:Lift and carry heavy material up to 50 lbs.; climb, crawl, and stoop to reach material; bend at the waist, kneel or crouch for extended periods of time; reach overhead, above the shoulders and horizontallyWe are an equal opportunity employer, dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone is valued and has equal access to opportunities.Drug free workplace.
