We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Shipper & Receiver / Warehouse Technician. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, safety-conscious, hardworking, and mechanically inclined. This role involves supporting shipping, receiving, warehousing, and documentation of environmental equipment. You will work in a collaborative team environment under the guidance of the Shop Foreman. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow directions are essential. You will interface with the Shop Foreman, Project Managers, Procurement, Engineering, and Field Team leaders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and equipment. Maintaining proper documentation and ensuring a well-organized warehouse are key responsibilities.Responsibilities:Shipping & Receiving: Prepare and package materials and equipment for shipment, ensuring they are securely packed, protected from damage and weather, and labeled correctly.Generate detailed packing lists, Bills of Lading (BOLs), and shipping labels for all shipments and distribute them to project teams.Support inspection, testing, and QA/QC of equipment being shipped to or returned from project sites.Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and damage. Verify and record receipt of goods against purchase orders and packing lists.Maintain organized files of shipments and received goods.Track shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve any shipping issues.Trucking Coordination: Coordinate trucking for materials and company-owned equipment between the shop, project sites, and vendors as required. Seek competitive prices for trucking services to select the best value provider.Establish truck layout/packing plans prior to truck arrival to optimize space and minimize loading time.Arrange crane services and support (eventually prepare) lift plans at the shop.General Shop Support and Warehouse Activities: Ensure proper storage and organization of items in the warehouse, including newly received goods and existing stock.Adhere to the company safety program in all work performed.Maintain a neat and orderly work area.Accurately track time against Work Orders and Projects as directed.Qualifications:3 - 5 years of experience in shipping and receiving, familiarity with mechanical equipment preferred (pumps, blowers, piping, and related hardware).High school diploma or equivalent.Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize activities and multi-task.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documentation and recordkeeping.Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, including MS Excel, MS Word, and Outlook.Physical stamina to lift and move heavy items and stand for extended periods.
