Job DescriptionMaterial Handler (Monroe, Ohio) This is an hourly, full time position. Position Summary: Material Handler is a Shipping/Receiving/Warehousing position at Alfrebro LLC in Monroe Ohio. The position reports to the Logistics Manager and involves custom packaging and preparing materials to order for shipment as well as receiving material into the facility and assisting with storage and inventory control throughout the site. All other related tasks as directed. Job Responsibilities:
- Schedule, plan and prepare orders for delivery
- Verify correct information for products and customers
- Print labels and determine proper mode of transport based on information provided
- Choose carriers based on needs of each order or customer routing.
- Pull stock from warehouse and other locations on site in order to fill the requirements of each delivery
- Interact with computer systems to plan shipments, work with inventory and generate labels and all other documents required to transportation needs and internal movements
- Dispense materials into correct container's based on calculation of qty vs. volume using procedures provided in a clean and efficient manner
- Determine capacity and volume of containers by using formulas to accommodate custom pack size requests
- Create finished packages for each material including marking and labeling according to regulations
- Package, mark, label and prepare packages/containers and documents based on federal and international regulations for domestic and international shipments as required
- Includes being able to be certified to prepare and process Hazardous Materials and Dangerous Goods shipments.
- Assist in creating supporting and training documents as the position develops and changes to meet business needs
- Load and unload trucks and check in shipments based on accompanying documents
- Pull retains for QC and document all actions
- Train lower level clerks/material handlers
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the warehouse and plant in general as needed to meet GMP and other related standards for safety and food security
