Job Summary The Material Handlers for our Hauppauge, NY facility are Union, hourly paid positions and are the general production workers responsible for on/offloading products.   • Move glass sheets from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks or wood crates
  • Safely operate dollies, cranes, pallet jacks, glass cutters and other various equipment
  • Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages
  • Inspect product for any abnormalities and defects to notify supervisors
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhere to all safety regulations
  • Perform other assignments as required by management
Job Highlights
  • Starting wage $19/hour
  • $800 sign on bonus

Qualifications
  • Elementary English: speak/read/write to communicate well and read basic paperwork/labels
  • Ability to work OT as needed
  • Ability to work flexible schedule (Monday to Friday and Saturday as needed)
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Work inside a non-climate controlled production environment
  • Ability to stand on your feet for 8-10 hours a day
  • Withstand moderate to high noise levels
  • Plant facility subject to same climate conditions of the region (heat, cold, humidity, etc.)
  • Excellent ability to lift/carry more than 75 pounds frequently. Frequent standing, bending, squatting, kneeling and reaching.
