Material Handler
Position Summary

The Material Handler is responsible for both supporting and maintaining all aspects of warehouse operations, including, but not limited to, shipping, receiving and warehouse equipment maintenance. The Material Handler is also responsible for controlling the movement and proper storage of material to and from production by item and lot number and coordinating the movement of raw material deliveries and finished goods.
Shift: 2nd (Monday-Friday 2 PM-10:30 PM )

The Role
* Operate all equipment related to warehouse activities - this includes, but is not limited to, propane gas or electric powered stand-up or sit-down industrial forklifts to push, pull, lift, stack, or move products.
* Complete production material request and pick list forms in an accurate manner and within 90 minutes of receipt of request.
* Distribute and store material (finished good, work in process, raw material) and product within the company specified guidelines and perform required documentation on all Manufacturing Work Orders.
* Complete material transactions (via) JD Edward 9.1 to verify material quantity, expiration date, location, and current status.
* Return materials from production to the proper location before the shift end to allow for accuracy and availability for the next manufacturing campaign.
* Operate stretch wrap machine and secure pallet load to pallet and attach all necessary labels to materials.
* Loading/or unload all trailer loads utilizing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety practices.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
The Candidate
* High school diploma required.
* 1+ experience in warehouse environment ois preferred.
* Prior pharmaceutical or food manufacturing/processing experience preferred.
* Demonstrates proficiency in operating a variety of warehouse equipment, such as electric-powered industrial forklifts, pallet jacks, floor scrubbers, and turret trucks. Adheres to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and current good manufacturing practices (cGMP), ensuring safe work practices are followed.
* Exhibits basic mathematical and reasoning abilities, along with strong documentation skills. Proficient in reading and writing, familiar with inventory control systems, and equipped with decision-making, technical, and problem-solving skills to support efficient warehouse operations.
* Works effectively within a team environment, fully understanding and adhering to all standard operating procedures related to warehouse operations. Capable of performing necessary documentation on all Manufacturing Work Orders and excels in communication while strictly following Catalent's site safety policies and procedures.
* Ensures safe operation within a dynamic warehouse setting, which includes handling various tasks from simple to complex and multitasking in changing conditions. This role requires good vision, no diplopia, adequate stereopsis, and sufficient horizontal field of vision, along with the coordination to navigate safely among mobile and fixed equipment and machinery.
* Responsible for creating, maintaining, and operating storage and organizational systems within the warehouse. This includes receiving shipments, placing goods on shelves through lifting, carrying, or using work saver equipment, and distributing support products to production staff as needed. Involves low to mid-level lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs, and maneuvering drums weighing up to 80 lbs with push, pull, and scooting actions for placement on 6-inch pallets.
* Safe operation of work saver equipment for the efficient bulk relocation of support products, along with the use of hand trucks, pallet jacks, and fork trucks when appropriate. Additionally, responsible for data entry tasks to maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments with corresponding identification for quality control purposes.
* Guarantees secure functioning in a dynamic warehouse setting, encompassing both movable and stationary equipment and machinery. It necessitates either corrected or uncorrected vision of at least 20/40 in each eye, absence of double vision, a stereopsis of 100 seconds of arc, and a minimum of 70 degrees of horizontal visual field in each eye. The position requires the ability to coordinate effectively to safely execute tasks that vary from straightforward to intricate and/or involve multitasking amid evolving conditions.
