Essential Functions
- Responsible for trucks and for inspecting the trailers that they are loading the product into.
- Responsible for moving finishing goods from production line and staging on a trailer for shipment to outside warehouse.
- Assures inventory accuracy and records by correctly using the dcLINK system to scan in all finished goods, moves to new locations, and all stages for shipment to the O/S warehouse.
- Takes precautions to protect product against loss, and reports any damage or lost product to Shift Supervisor.
- Stage gaylords, boxes at press as finished good are moved.
- Responsible for maintaining the Food Safety Program (GMP)
- Other duties as assigned
PPE Required Requirements are proper hearing protection, safety glasses (prescription if required), steel-toed shoes, hairnet, beardnet (if employee has chin hair greater than 1/8 inch).
Authorities
- Perform essential functions and assigned duties while communicating any deviations from the requirements to management
- Report any safety concerns to management and to shut down any equipment that presents a safety hazard
- Identify nonconforming product and segregate into appropriate containment bins so as to not become part of the finished product. This includes making the personnel aware of this nonconformance for further action
Qualifications:
Position/Qualification Requirement
- Manual Dexterity -- The ability to quickly move hand, hand together with arm, or two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
- Information Ordering -- The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations).
- Near Vision -- The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
- Extent Flexibility -- The ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs.
- Wrist-Finger Speed -- The ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists.
- Multilimbed Coordination -- The ability to coordinate two or more limbs (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting, standing, or lying down. It does not involve performing the activities while the whole body is in motion.
- Lifting Requirements -- Ability to lift 35 pounds over head to total height of six feet
- Walking/Standing---Requirements ability to walk and or stand for 11 hours per day.
- Material Handling 2-3 years of warehouse and/or material handling experience using RF bar code scanners preferred.
- Forklift certified --- 1-3 years of forklift experience. Must be certified or capable of being certified.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Position Hours
- Works 12-hour shift hours 7am 7pm or 7pm 7am
- Flexibility for occasional overtime and call-in work required
Organization Relationships
- Report directly to Shift Supervisor and indirectly to the Lead SBM Technician.
