Position Summary :
The Material Handler is responsible for preparing and maintain raw materials and assists in fulfilling the raw material needs of production orders. This effort includes, but is not limited to, unloading material deliveries, staging material based on production orders and assisting with organizing and maintaining existing inventory through an ERP system. This individual works with the entire plant to ensure each department has the proper materials needed to run the machines.
Essential Functions :
Operates both automated and manual industrial saws to cut raw material into usable lengths for production
Locates material by pulling and verifying material listed on production orders
Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering material
Documents materials by recording units delivered and location of material
Maintains and accurately reports current raw material inventory within their department
Receives credit-return material from production by verifying materials and lot number and quantity; placing materials in stock
Operates machinery such as booms, cranes, and forklifts to handle materials and stock
Accurately completes all quality control documentation and inspection sheets
Follows verbal and/or written instructions such as blueprints, traveler, work instruction, process specifications, sketches, and direction from supervisor in completing a variety of tasks
Performs daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on equipment
Utilizes and abides by ISO requirements and safety procedures
Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions
Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies
Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
Represents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties

Qualifications :
Basic ability to read part drawings
Experience with an ERP system is a plus
Clean, organized, and multi-task capable
Above average manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude
Intermediate Math skills in geometric and trigonometric formulas a plus
Ability to use hand truck to move drums of oil/coolant and raw material
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good listening skills, to be able to hear that the machine is operating smoothly
Attention to detail
Self-starter
Team player
Advanced critical thinking and problems-solving skills
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products
Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
