Material HandlerDescription!\! About This RoleWe believe people should love what they do - in this role, you will be responsible for:Must be able to receive, store, disburse, and account for all material controlled by manufacturing storerooms.Disburses material or parts to internal customers requesting storeroom transactions.Verifies parts or material and amounts against information on the purchase or manufacturing orders, checks for required inspection stamps, and checks for correct finish on parts.Responsible for assuring parts/material is properly identified and packaged.Locates parts/material in proper bin in accordance with manufacturing procedures.Maintains records of materials received, disbursed, and on hand.Responsible for assuring inventory accuracy and record integrity through cycle counting and auditing of all physical inventories and monitoring all inventory transactions and records.Resolves storeroom discrepancies.May move material by hand, truck or conveyor within assigned storage area.Transport material between work centers.Practices good safety habits and maintains good housekeeping.Performs other clerical or material handling duties as required.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications!\! QualificationsKnowledge of manufacturing policies and procedures.Knowledge of production and inventory control systems.Written and oral communication skills which support cooperation with manufacturing personnel and support organizations.Basic personal computer skills. (e.g., word processing and spreadsheets)Ability to learn and navigate Textron Systems MRP systemsAbility to work with minimal supervision.Ability to understand and interpret prints, bills of material and parts lists.Ability to work with measuring instruments.Ability to work from verbal instructions.Ability to operate material handling equipment. (Ability to obtain fork truck license)Ability to work well with others.This position is subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions.This position is subject to noise.This position may be required the ability to lift materials up to 50 lbs.
