Job Title: 1st Shift Material Handler- Miamisburg, OH- $18/hrJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team. This role involves operating a sit-down propane forklift, handling various materials, and ensuring proper storage and classification within our facility. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in diverse weather conditions and have the ability to lift 50-60 lbs.ResponsibilitiesOperate a sit-down, propane forkliftUnload skids and drums off of trailersMove received products to correct locations in the facility based on classificationRead labels and maintain attention to detailHandle materials according to label and classificationRepackage small aerosol containers into and out of drums and large boxesPour out liquid materials into larger storage drumsDispose of containers into dump trailersReload new pallets onto outbound trailersRelabel containers as necessaryHandle non-hazardous materials such as batteries, aerosol cans, and propane cansLearn to handle hazardous materials (solid and liquid) and pump them into the storage tank farmOperate machinery to process and store containersEssential SkillsAbility to lift 50-60 lbsWillingness to work in all weather conditionsMust not have facial hair below the lip (due to the type of respirator needed)GED or DiplomaExperience with forklifts, yard dogs, chemical handling, PPE, and material handlingAdditional Skills & QualificationsForklift experienceChemical handlingUse of Yard Dogs to move trailersExperience working in full PPEWhy Work Here?Our company offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance. Employees will handle hazardous waste and wear full Tyvek suits and respirators at times. While on the contract period, you will only work with non-hazardous materials.
