Position Summary: Load and unload materials from shipping containers while using the necessary equipment to load or unload. May perform a variety of other tasks relating to shipment of products. Maintain facility in clean and orderly condition. Perform heavy cleaning duties, performing routine maintenance activities, notifying management of need for repairs, and supplies. Working with all managers, department supervision and security to carry out work demands.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Operates loading and unloading equipment, conveyors, hoists, and other specialized material handling equipment including railroad tank car unloading equipment.
- Monitors product movement to and from storage, coordinating activities with other workers to ensure constant product flow.
- Records operating data such as products and quantities pumped, gauge readings, and operating times, manually or using computers.
- Checks conditions and weights of vessels to ensure cleanliness and compliance with loading procedures.
- Operates industrial trucks, tractors, loaders and other equipment to transport materials to and from transportation vehicles and loading docks, and to store and retrieve materials in warehouses.
- Notifies managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
- Requisitions supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Educational and Other Requirements: - High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, not required.
- Prior related work experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
- Basic skills: reading, writing and math needed to perform responsibilities.
- Training on the job provided.
- Sensitive to confidential information.
- Must work independently and as a member of team.

- Able to lift, push, pull, up 50 pounds at a time.

- Position will require a minimum of 40 hours per week with frequent overtime demands based on the workload requirements.
