Job Description:
SUMMARY Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near workstations. Updates ERP system with material information for inventory.POSITION DUTIES:
  • Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers tobe moved.
  • Always follow all safety rules, procedures, and preventative measures.
  • Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand with or without an accommodation.
  • Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area.
  • Removal of regrind material from presses and clean room.
  • Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet.
  • Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.
  • Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together.
  • Removes samples of materials, labels with identifying information, and takes samples to laboratory for analysis.
  • Handles customer owned and made materials.
  • Prepares materials for present and next shift.
  • Makes sure all necessary materials are available for required staging procedures.
  • Unclogging and cleaning of grinders, augers, dryers, and autoloaders as needed.
  • Safely operates industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products with or without an accommodation.
  • Follow all Five S requirements.
  • Sort: removing unnecessary items in a location, reducing distraction, increase safety,
  • Set In Order: make the workflow smooth and easy,
  • Shine: clearing and cleaning workspace regularly to improve production efficiency, safety, reduce waste and prevent defects,
  • Standardize: follow set process and procedures, and
  • Sustain: do without being told.
  • Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Able to lifts objects up to 70 pounds by hand with or without an accommodation.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
  • Effective and understandable professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
  • Math aptitude to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Capacity to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge to navigate through and input data into computer software programs.
  • Ability to understanding and carry out detailed but uninvolved written and oral instructions.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and arms to finger, handle, or feel and reach parts with or without an accommodation. The employee frequently is required to stand and sit. The employee is occasionally required to walk; stoop, kneel, or crouch; and talk or hear with or without an accommodation.
  • Specific vision requirement includes close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize priorities simultaneously.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must have a valid driver license.
  • Valid certified forklift course certificate or ability to obtain within 30-days.
