If that sounds like you, come join this industry leader!Description:The Material Handler position requires that material including aluminum and steel extrusions be placed on shelves, picked off shelves and packed in an effort to expedite the product throughout the plant.Here's What You'll Get To Do
- On/off-load of product from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates
- Work as part of a team
- Perform different functions on a rotating basis that are considered essential function of your job
- Be available to work in all areas of production
- Perform work as assigned by Supervisor
What We're Looking For
- Must be able to read, understand and communicate paperwork and labels
- Must be able to read and interpret basic mathematical measurements and effectively use a tape measure.
- Must be able to attach appropriate labels to material while correctly counting and identifying material
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to work in an environment that is not climate controlled
- Must be able to perform heavy work, lifting and moving material. Weight over 50 lbs. requires assistance (Team lift or mechanical).
- Must be able to stand 8+ hrs a day.
- Job requires pushing/pulling, bending/twisting, carrying, reaching, walking on a frequent/constant basis
- Job requires kneeling/crawling, climbing a ladder/scaffold, stooping/squatting, stair climbing, typing/keyboarding on an occasional basis.
