Material Handler - Lead - Under the supervision of the Director, Supply Chain, the Material Handler Lead, will be responsible for workload of all material handlers, including but not limited to organizing the warehouse and performing various duties pertaining to Inventory management, which includes receiving all product in a timely fashion, putting material away, kitting material. Setting priorities as per the production plan. Responsible for performing all required transactions in the ERP system. Keep accurate and detailed records. Responsible for and participate in cycle counting, part identification, general housekeeping. Assist with production as required which may include, but not limited to planning, expediting, etc. To excel in this key role, you must be able communicate clearly. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Organizing the warehouse to make it more efficient make sure all material fits within the warehouse. Assigning the tasks and coordinating workload with all the material handlers Responsible to transact into the warehouse and locate material as required within the ERP system. Responsible for the safe movement of materials within the dock, warehouse, and manufacturing floor. Responsible for picking kits, assigning locations, and performing transactions for all incoming material. Maintains inventory on parts, tools, equipment and spares as required. Handles and dispose of hazardous materials and recyclable materials as per all DOT, State and Federal regulations. Responsible to process returns of defective material back to suppliers, and process returns from the customer and manufacturing floor. Resolve any discrepancies, or issues as they arise. Performs cycle counts, stock counts and report and resolve all discrepancies. Practices good housekeeping; cleans organizes work areas, including the dock and inspection areas, including sweeping etc. Assist other personnel and production areas as directed or assigned. Takes initiative to explore and suggest new approaches that can impact quality and/or job performance and organizational effectiveness. Responsible as required based on workload, receiving, unpacking, verifying counts and all paperwork and performs required receipt transactions within the ERP system the day the product arrives. JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIACATIONS: Ability to demonstrate proficiency in Warehouse and Inventory Control. Experience in performing transactions in an inventory management database. Experience in performing all transactions and preparing afl required documents. Must be certified/and or trained in the handling of hazardous waste per DOT requirements. Must be detail oriented. Must have good organizational skills. Must be able to multitask. Excellent communications skills, verbal and written. Attention to detail, accuracy in counting, receipts and all paperwork. Knowledge of proper material handling and packaging QUALIFICATIONS - EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: 3+ years' experience in warehouse environment, including receiving. 2 years experiencing in being a lead or in a supervisory position. High School Diploma. Math skills. Time management skills. Computer experience in various type data bases. Experience using an ERP system a plus. Must be able to work with or around chemicals and loud noises. Must be able to wear required safety protective equipment including but not limited to Safety Shoes, Glasses, and ESD coats. May work in a clean room environment and wear clean room attire.
