Working Procedure

  • Maintains current status, on a daily basis, of all end items for programs they are responsible for.
  • Applies and maintains a list of shortages which impact their assigned programs and assures that supervision is aware of these shortfalls.
  • Coordinates assigned program products with the assembly areas.
  • Process the Repair Work Order (RWO) through the various departmental personnel including customer representatives, where appropriate.
  • Requisition and submit requisitions to the storeroom in support of the assembly activity.
  • Maintain close liaison with all material handlers to correctly prioritize testing, internal and external process of parts, and assembly which takes place outside the System Products Department.
  • Maintains and supplies input to other functional areas and divisions as required by internal policy or customer requirements.
  • Receives and stores in proper locations all parts to be stored as defined by MSS and AMAPS stocking requirements.
  • Pulls, counts, and bags/kits parts requisitioned to accomplish assembly after allocating material as required via MSS and AMAPS systems.
  • Fills requisitions for replacement parts and fills shippers for spare parts.
  • Maintains stock records to show issues, receipts, and balance on hand for all parts in the stockroom via utilization of MSS and AMAPS systems.
  • Verify packing list information for accuracy and enter information correctly into the computer system.
  • Generate production traveler, focus lot decision report, and assemble packet correctly.
  • Distribute receiving documents to proper department daily and solve associated problems.
  • Must be able to interface with customers, DLA and employees in other departments.
  • Verifies or reviews travelers, QC-34s, QC-13s, inspection records and other documents as required.
  • Record serial numbers, verify part quantity, and store parts.
  • Maintain sales order files, understand spare parts inspection system, and be able to prepare shippers and certificates for spare parts shipment.
  • Operate scanner and related equipment, prepares test records and traceability sheets for scanning.
  • Compile information from database to run reports, as required.
  • Performs duties associated with returning discrepant material to suppliers (RTVs).

    Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
