About the Role

The material handler role is an exciting opportunity for an individual in St. Louis, MO. This role receives and verifies the quantity and quality of shipments from upstream departments; monitors key performance metrics and checks quality verifying paperwork of shipments using established procedures or written instructions. The ideal candidate will be able to work individually as well as in a team to help us meet our goals.

Hours: 10:00am - 6:30pm Monday - Friday (with some potential for overtime)

Your Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Build packaging per requirements, check product quality, package product, weigh, organize and verify paperwork of shipments.
  • Plan and coordinate physical movement of materials, parts, and finished goods information in a safe manner to ensure optimization of cost and service.
  • Utilizes hand trucks, hoist, or other handling equipment to move material to and from locations and transportation vehicles within the facility.
  • Delivers continuous improvement through participation in lean improvements and kaizen events.
  • Flex within shipping area as needed.
  • Invoice orders in the system
  • Use of email and teams to escalate issues

Required Qualifications:

  • Proficient with computers

Desired Qualifications:

  • Preferred 2-year degree or technical certificate or related experience (3-5 years)
