The Material Handler/ Warehouse Worker, under limited supervision, performs duties related to the storage and movement of inventory or equipment using an overhead crane, forklift and truck.\ \ Duties and Responsibilities:Receives, places/returns items into stock inventory locations throughout the plantPulls and tags materials for identificationPulls and assembles customer orders in sequence of deliveryOperates yard truck, forklift (5k or 10K) and cranes for the purpose of loading and unloading trailersCompletes and documents production and quality paperworkPerforms tasks that include grinding and using an oxy fuel torchMaintains work areas in a clean, orderly and safe manner, including the return of tools and equipment to designated areas.Assures all machine operation centers are timely loaded with material for productionPerforms other duties as assignedQualifications:High school diploma/GEDOne year experience working in industrial/machine shop environmentBasic arithmetic skills to calculate and convert decimals and fractionsProficient measuring skills and the ability to read measuring tapes and micrometersAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings and documents, blueprintsExperience working with heavy equipment preferredOverhead crane/forklift experience preferredPhysical Requirements:Occupation requires physical activity more than 66% of the time (\> 5.5 hours per day)Stand, walk, sit, handling/fingering, reach outward, reach above shoulder, climb, squat or kneel or bendLift, carry, push and/or pull 45 lbs.Must wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE)Steel-toed boots with meta-tarsal guardHard hat with chin strap; chin strap must be worn at all times while on elevated surfacesProtective eyewearHand protectionArm guards/sleevesHearing protection if required by the hearing conservation programMedical/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance/401k Matching/Incentives/Generous Vacation
