Overview:

The Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Asset Manager is responsible for managing all 8,000+ MHE assets through their life cycle; this includes information management on our TMT system, issue resolution with field operations, and creating and managing ongoing tracking reports and databases. This position reports to the Director of Assets.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement utilization management program; including monthly review of underperforming assets with operations and redeployment of MHE units as needed.
  • Manage MHE unit life cycle, fixed and variable costs with the ultimate goal of minimizing total cost of ownership and exploring additional opportunities to bring value to the company.
  • Interact with suppliers, internal engineers and operations to determine appropriate MHE for new start-ups and changes in business.
  • Manage relocation of assets between all Distribution centers.
  • Manage and verify information for units entered into TMT system.
  • Monthly reconciliation of MHE asset Inventories.
  • Oversees all MHE internal and external rental needs for the company and assists in finding rentals when needed.
  • Manager internal MHE rental P&L
  • Maintain and update various weekly/monthly reports.
  • Review, investigate and report on abnormalities found in the weekly/monthly reports.
  • Set up and conduct annual Asset Review with Operations.
  • Coordinate Asset Review follow up
  • Create annual MHE replacement order.
  • Sells excess company MHE.
  • Work on projects or other assignments as requested.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree
  • At least 5 years of Warehouse management experience dealing with various different types of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) experience
  • Strong knowledge of MHE specs preferred
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office specifically Excel
  • Proficient building relationships with both external and internal customers.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail is critical to success
  • Strong Communication and Customer Service skills
  • Has sales acumen and is goal oriented
  • Be a self-starter with an ability to work in an individual and team environment.
  • High level of organization and self-motivation.
  • Knowledge of TMT and warehouse management systems a plus
  • Travel required up to 30%
