Job Description:

As a Material Handling Group Lead at BW Papersystems, you would be responsible for overseeing the receipt, storage, and distribution of various materials while guiding and mentoring a team of employees. Your duties include identifying the disposition of materials, ensuring accurate inventory records, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Job Responsibilities:

* Managing the identification, receipt, storage, and issuance of materials based on shop orders, receiving reports, and verbal instructions.

* Ensuring proper labeling, packing, and loading of items for shipment according to specifications.

* Overseeing the unloading of incoming trucks, inspecting for damage, and verifying quantities against freight bills.

* Maintaining accurate records of all received and shipped materials.

* Assessing workforce needs, assigning tasks based on priorities and team capabilities, and ensuring availability of necessary materials and tools.

* Leading, guiding, and mentoring team members, fostering a positive work environment.

* Performing cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and reconciling any variances.

* Reviewing and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all documentation.

* Communicating team performance relative to KPIs and developing action plans to address any missed opportunities.

* Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, maintaining clean work areas, and properly handling and disposing of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.

Required Education and Experience:

* High School Diploma or Equivalent

* 2+ years of experience in Microsoft Excel

* Experience with pallet jacks, forklift and overhead crane a plus

* 3+ years of material handling experience

* Experience managing small teams

* Must demonstrate a strong commitment to continuous learning and remain open to new knowledge and perspectives
