Job Description:
SUMMARYContributes to the orderly operation of stock and/or material storage by managing the shipping and receiving of materials within a facility.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES* Moves materials to and from storage and production areas, loading docks, delivery trucks, ships, and containers.* Handles, moves, and stores various non-hazardous and hazardous materials within a warehouse.* Loads and unloads different transport items, records, and reports on inventory status, and verifies deliveries properly against purchase orders.* Supports the orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies, and staging products for distribution.* Maintains regular and punctual attendance.* Performs other duties as assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESNone.Job RequirementsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS* One (1) year of related experience required.* High School Diploma or GED required.* Experience in handling and moving merchandise within a facility or similar environment.* Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS* Strong organizational skills.* Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices for material handling.* Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.WORK SCHEDULEFull-time. May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project.TRAVELNone.DRIVING REQUIREMENTSMust have or be able to attain a valid state driver's license and be insurable on the company's automobile insurance policy. Driving, with or without accommodation, may be required when traveling for training and/or short occasional amounts of local driving. The expected driving time is less than 25%.WORK ENVIRONMENTWork is primarily performed in a maintenance facility. Employee may be exposed to sharp objects and may be exposed to some heat, loud noise, chemicals, lead, and vibration. Katmai strictly adheres to the Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHA) regulations. Use of personal protective equipment is mandatory if applicable. Employee will be exposed to a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities, and abilities.PHYSICAL DEMANDSPosition consists of standing for long periods of time, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and lifting boxes weighing up to 75 pounds. Frequently uses hands/fingers for handling, to work with such hand tools, wrenches, screwdrivers, wire cutters, pliers, and soldering irons.
