Role: Material Handling Technician - 1st ShiftLocation: Indianapolis, IN 46256Schedule: M-F 7:00am - 3:30pmPay rate: $18.20/hr on W2Job Description-Candidate must have a valid driver's licensePerforms the physical or administrative tasks involved in shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing and distributing of materials, parts, suppliers and equipment, and supporting logistics areasThis may include receiving and verifying in-coming materials and supplies, preparing bills of lading and shipping manifests, routing shipments appropriately, moving material within the warehouse, distribution and production facilities, filling customers' orders and preparing orders appropriately.Specialized knowledge generally of particular area, system or equipmentRequires specific training and certificationApplies some advanced skills to the position or specializationMay adapt procedures, processes, tools equipment and techniques to meet the more complex requirements of the positionDuties are generally routine but may include non-routine tasksResolves most questions and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher levelsApplies basic skills and may develop advanced skills appropriate for the positionDuties and tasks are standardizedResolves routine questions and problems and refers more complex and non-routine issues to higher levelsWorks under direct supervision and follows standard procedures to accomplish tasks.Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the quality system and achieving quality objectives through daily actions.Pick items either by RF or voice pickingPack, ship, receive and maintain inventory of product/raw material, and fulfill customer orders with emphasis on attention to detailExamines, stocks, and distributes materials in inventoryAccurately pull and/or pack products for customer orders ensuring lot numbers, shipping temperature, address and ship methods are correctMay pick and pack in different temperature environments (ex: refrigerated, frozen, ambient)Receive all incoming materials storing at the correct temperatureInspect and compare with packing lists, bills of lading, purchase orders and/or related documentationReport discrepancies or damage goodsDocument and label materials according to procedure.Performs administrative tasks related to products/materials such as coordinating shipments, preparing, reviewing, filling and maintaining customer orders, preparing shipping and receiving documents, and utilizing database to enter and maintain information related to products/materials.Identify issues involving logistics, customer orders, shipping and/or receiving areas.May operate material handling equipment as necessary including a forklift and man-up order picker.Follow the principles and applications of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO 13485.The products that are picked are reagents used in the prevention, diagnosis, and management of diseasesReagents are a substance or compound that is added to a system in order to bring about a chemical reaction.
