JOB SUMMARY: Develop bill of materials for projects, to provide assistance and feedback to estimating and drafting while simultaneously developing and maintaining standard details and bill of materials. Work with the project manager and construction Team to coordinate proper phase coding of materials to align with construction practices. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Write parts lists, steel orders, truss orders, special order requests and requests for other materials as required to construct custom building projects. 2. Work closely with post frame designers to help ensure building constructability and print clarity. 3. Assist with inventory accountability and facilitate resolution of material issues as they occur. 4. Assisting in the evaluation and coordination of material requirements with field supervisors and crew leaders to ensure availability and efficient utilization of material on assigned projects. 5. Work closely with purchasing department to coordinate the procurement and details of special order material. 6. Review and investigate issues to determine the reason for shortages or surpluses, working closely with field construction Team. 7. Work closely with crew foremen to coordinate use of materials and answer questions about the drawings. 8. Provide MTO assistance to Sales, Drafting, Estimating and Operations as required. 9. Become familiar with applicable building codes to assist the design engineer in code review. 10. Demonstrated ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment QUALIFICATIONS:
