We are currently seeking a Material Wrapper (Night Shift) for our Sugar Land, Texas facility. The Material Wrapper is responsible for wrapping finished goods according to packaging specifications. Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to: • Complies with established safety policies and procedures and other regulations as applicable. • Bands and stretch wraps finished goods according to required packaging specifications utilizing the banding and stretch wrapping machines. • Weighs finished goods on scale and verifies against weight listed on the pallet label. • Operates and maintains walkie pallet truck certification to transport materials. • Scans finished goods to location utilizing the Motorola RF scanner to maintain inventory control. • Cleans and ensures the department is maintained in an orderly fashion. • Performs other related duties as assigned. The ideal candidate shall possess the following: • High School Diploma or GED required. • Basic computer skills required. Experience with web-based software and ERP systems preferred. • Basic math skills, required. Must pass the New Hire Base Assessment Test, which measures basic arithmetic and mechanical aptitude. • Ability to read, write and speak in the English language to the extent necessary to effectively communicate and interpret instructions. • Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred. • Experience operating a banding machine, stretch wrap machine, walkie pallet truck and Motorola RF scanner preferred. • 12-hour shift work experience required. • Ability to frequently lift 50 lbs. Hourly Rate: $14:00 per hour ($2.00 shift differential after training). Will be required to take a background and drug screen. #LI-DNP
