In this role, you will be responsible for the coordination, organization and issuing of inventory to meet the demands of Zalkin's manufacturing process. Job functions include processing Bills of Material for various types of jobs, picking and delivering Job materials, returning unused material to inventory, and performing material transaction in SyteLine to fulfill production requirements.

Are you passionate about this work?

* Ensure materials are present with each Job order released to production

* Ability to navigate through ERP to analyze material availability and expected material receipt date.

* Process Material Planner Workbench daily for customer orders and stock replenishment

* Organizing and delivering materials in order to meet production goals

* Interface with Engineering as required to troubleshoot bill of material

* Work directly with different departments either as a liaison or on a cross functional team.

* Ensure the correct inventory transactions are taking place in SyteLine.

* Ensure Inventory counts are correct with daily cycle counts

* Manage all manual inventory transactions

* Work directly with Shared Services on job completions

* Research job costing information on completed jobs

* Assemble Repair Kits as needed

* Backup Shipping and Receiving Department as needed

* Performs additional duties as directed by management

* Maintain a clean, safe working environment and the ability to navigate the shop floor with the use of a forklift or manual pallet jack

* 2+ years of experience in a Shipping and Receiving/Inventory Control department, in a manufacturing environment preferred.

* Purchasing background preferred.

* Familiarity with ERP/Shipping & Receiving systems and Forklift Certification a plus.

* Computer Literate (MS Word/Outlook & Excel) and Valid Driver License a plus.

* Once properly trained, be able to perform duties with minimum supervision.
