We have a current career opportunity as a: Materials Coordinator (Contract Position)Location: Muncie, IN, USA The purpose of this position is to plan, issue, and communicate production schedules. This position will also oversee and give direction to the buyer / purchasing positions. This position will also work closely with customer and supplier contracts. Job Summary:
- Utilize and evaluate customer EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) to plan production.
- Evaluate / maintain production planning spreadsheets.
- Manage production purchasing functions.
- Plan and schedule service requirements.
- Investigate / reconcile FG (Finished Goods) inventory discrepancies.
- Utilize customer portals and maintain customer contracts.
- Other duties as assigned.
RequirementsQualifications: Knowledge skills and abilities:

- Ensure all local, state, and federal laws and regulations are complied with in functional area.
- Provide strong leadership to subordinate personnel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, high level of accuracy.
- Interact with various levels of associates.
- Maintain knowledge of all processes, procedures, and equipment within Materials Department.
- Coordinate and recommends cost savings and efficiency ideas for the facility.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of organization needed.
- Improve manufacturing proficiency levels to meet plant goals and objectives.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
- Knowledge of computer systems and spreadsheets necessary to perform job duties.
- Knowledge and experience in Production Control, MRP (Material Requirement Plan) and Purchasing concepts.
- Intermediate experience requires in Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft programs.
- Advanced experience with ERMS (Electronic Records Management System), Glovia, MRP (Material Requirement Plan), and MPS (Material Planning) systems.

Travel:
