Job Description:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Maintain MRP to ensure on time supplier deliveries.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all customers.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all suppliers.
  • Manage the flow of material to and from outside processors by working with the outside processors, production, and scheduling.
  • Manage service parts releases and shipments.
  • Coordinate prototype and launch activity with respect to the material control function.
  • Manage customer screens daily.
  • Monitor EDI logs for errors and correct the errors to ensure accurate customer releases.
  • Maintain a communication bond between plant and suppliers.
  • Address supplier concerns regarding delivery and services.
  • Perform duties of Shipping Area Manager in their absence.
  • Identify area of concern with regards to shipping or production schedules.
  • Manage customer production back-up packaging, launch/prototype packaging, and service packaging.
  • Manage supplier routes.
  • Maintain and monitor all Customer order activity.
  • Participate in cross training as assigned
  • Create and maintain work instructions for this position.
  • Perform other essential functions as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in an equivalent position is preferred.
  • Experience in an automotive supplier environment is preferred.
  • Ability to obtain a forklift license
SPECIAL SKILLS
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and customer databases.
  • Good written and verbal communication.
