The Materials Coordinator will work under the direction of the Materials Supervisor and work closely with scheduling and production supervisors to ensure that all material needs are being met to keep production lines running without interruption.
Responsibilities:
- Review all Master Production Schedules in SAP.
- Determine all required materials for the production orders in the Master Production Schedule, while following FIFO to ensure on hand components are pulled accordingly.
- Verify materials exist in enough quantity to produce the production order, electronically and physically as needed.
- Ensure supervisors understand necessary quantities and timing of semi-finished materials to support Master Production schedules.
- Review production reports along with supervisors to ensure materials are properly issued to production orders for proper systematic consumption
- Work with supervisors to ensure that leftover components from prior runs are tagged properly, placed neatly into storage bin locations, and scanned to that bin location.
- Notify Master Scheduler/Procurement of any shortfalls in materials or purchasing requirements.
- Review all schedules and ensure foam grades needed for production have passed labs and are available for production. Notify scheduling of any risks or potential shortfalls to production.
- Assist with monthly cycle counts, along with physically verifying inventory as requested.
- Support cross-training within the materials department.
- Other tasks as assigned by Materials Supervisor
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Skills
- Above average computer skills (Excel, Word, etc.)
- SAP experience
