Under general direction from the Supply Chain Manager, perform several duties related to purchasing, supplier management, inventory maintenance, and report management.Specific areas of required expertise include:
- Place purchase orders with suppliers;
- Review purchase order acknowledgements;
- Expedite purchase orders;
- Utilize MRP to assist in determining material requirements;
- Review and resolve supplier claims;
- Review and update tag information for layout and certification;
- Manage the process of tag disposition of aging, unusable inventory, and vendor rejects;
- Obtain pricing quotes on transactional opportunities;
- Maintain supplier quality and on-time performance information;
- Maintain data in manufacturing system;
- Update supplier information in CRM; and
- Participation in company-wide material meetings, conferences, and objectives.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor Degree in Business required, Supply Chain Management a plus;
- Similar experience, preferable in a manufacturing environment, preferred;
- Strong attention to detail and good basic math skills; and
- Ability to multitask and stay organized.
