AMERICAN PRECISION AVIONICS is an EEO employer - M/F/Vets/Disabled Reports To: Materials ManagerFLSA Status: Full Time, Hourly, Non-exempt Hours: Monday through Thursday 6:00am-4:30pmSummary: Responsible for moving all raw and finished materials around the facility.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES o Work safely alwayso Use appropriate PPEo Use extra caution with sharp blades used for opening packageso Be aware of surroundings o Receive incoming raw materials, equipment, and all other supplieso Perform quality checks for received items, alert department to discrepancieso Complete receiving paperwork, and maintain IQC receiving logo Stock itemso Put away raw materials after receipto Maintain FIFO and inventory accuracyo Put away finished goods after they clear inspectiono Use heat sealer to bag finished assemblies as neededo Kits for Productiono Pick components per FIFOo Bag and seal kits as neededo Distribute to production assembly flooro Finished Goods for shipmento Place in totes and stage for inspectiono Assist with inventory managemento Maintain accurate inventory stock location files and audit programso Perform cycle counts as neededo Departmental housekeeping/ Maintain cleanliness in departmento Everything should have a designated space, put everything awayQUALIFICATIONSo Language Skillso Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, pick lists, packing slips, and component specifications o Write routine reports and or correspondenceo Communicate with other shop employeeso Mathematical Skills- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimalso Reasoning Abilityo Understand and use alpha numeric sequencing for organizationo Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram formo Troubleshoot problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situationso Other Skills and Abilitieso Computer literate, can learn minor data entry and navigate through EVO system with work instructions.o Use basic office machines such as copiers and printerso Use shipping and counting scaleso Attention to detailEducation and/or Experienceo High school diploma, GED, or six months of related work experience and/or trainingPHYSICAL DEMANDS o Regularly stand, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear, walko Wear safety glasseso Occasionally sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlo Regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds and carry items up/down a stepladdero Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focuso Must be willing to work overtime if needed to meet APA deadlinesSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESo This job has no supervisory responsibilities.WORK ENVIRONMENT o Regular exposure to electrically and pneumatically operated moving mechanical partso May handle toxic or caustic chemicals in containers, exposure is limitedo Noise level in the work environment is usually moderateo Temperature is climate controlled indoors, occasionally move garbage/recyclables to dumpsters outside during all seasonsEEO StatementAPAvionics provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion or belief, national, social or ethnic origin, sex (including pregnancy), age, physical, mental or sensory disability, HIV status, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, martial, civil union or domestic partnership status, past or present military service, family medical history or genetic information, family or parental status, or any other status protected by the laws or regulations in the locations where we operate.
