Job Description:
Sedron Technologies is hiring a talented Materials Handler Lead Founded in 2014 and headquartered in the Pacific Northwest, Sedron Technologies designs, manufactures, installs, and operates advanced water and waste upcycling technologies. With a focus on transforming the paradigm from waste processing to resource recovery, Sedron Technologies works with agricultural, municipal, and industrial customers to process their waste into climate-smart commodities through environmentally and financially sustainable methods. The Materials Handler Lead will oversee the efficient movement, storage, and control of materials within our facility. This role requires a dynamic individual who can manage a team, ensure accuracy in inventory management, and support continuous improvement in materials handling processes. Because we design, build, commission, and operate our technologies, we are looking for individuals who can meet the following essential functions of the position:
  • Supervise and lead a team of materials handlers
  • Train and mentor team members to ensure optimal performance and adherence to safety protocols
  • Coordinate daily activities and work assignments
  • Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all materials transactions
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the procurement team to maintain optimal stock levels
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in materials handling
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and reduce waste
  • Assist in the development and implementation of materials handling procedures
  • Operate and maintain material handling equipment
  • Prioritize duties and responsibilities in order to fulfill objectives
  • Demonstrate the ability to work individually and within a multidisciplinary team, communicating and collaborating with technicians and engineers alike
  • Comply with all safety, 5S, and HazMat practices
  • Work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines
  • Demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors
  • Demonstrate passion and excitement for solving difficult yet exciting tasks
  • Arrive to work on time and maintain good attendance
  • Maintain good organization skills
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in materials handling or warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and MS Office Suite
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Minimum requirement for all positions is a high school diploma or GED
  • Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be able to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and manual handling of materials
  • Comfortable working in various environmental conditions, including exposure to noise, dust, and temperature variations

  • The range provided is Sedron's estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
