(Eyenovia) is an ophthalmic technology company commercializing Mydcombi™ (tropicamide+phenylephrine ophthalmic spray) for mydriasis and developing the Optejet® device for use both in connection with its own drug-device therapeutic product candidates for presbyopia and pediatric progressive myopia as well as out-licensing for additional indications.
About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team on a temporary basis. This role's primary responsibility is assisting the shipping and receiving department by handling incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all processes. Additionally, the position's duties will include managing inventory, coordinating shipments, tracking orders, and troubleshooting issues as they arise. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment under minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
Shipping
- Prepare shipping of product by generating shipping documents, packing and shipping out on time, and meeting vendor requirements.
- Stage finished products for final distribution.
- Maintain shipping record and documentation.
- Work closely with cross department and external stakeholders.
- Communicating effectively with shippers, carriers, and their internal teams to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of goods.
Receiving
- Reconcile purchase orders, invoices, and packaging lists.
- Process product returns resulting from quality issues or customer complaints.
- Organize and store received items in appropriate areas.
- Maintain receiving log and packing list.
Inventory Management and Organization
- Manage inventory and conduct periodic physical inventory counts.
- Keep track of inventory and records to ensure the records are accurate.
- Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and organizing materials, recording inventory locations, and reporting shortages.
- Submit purchase requisitions to replenish consumables and/or production supplies used in manufacturing.
- Maintain warehouse and stockroom through organizing and cleaning on a regular basis.
- Track and update the status of incoming and outgoing shipments through FedEx and UPS systems.
- Manage email communication with various departments, customers, and vendors to address their inquiries.
Production Support
- Deliver materials and supplies to the production floor.
- Read orders, select the correct items from shelves, and stage them for production.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Skills
- Previous experience in a shipping, receiving, or warehouse environment is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
- Minimum three years of warehouse experience.
- Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling shipments.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in office and shipping software or systems.
- Previous experience performing daily transactions in ERP systems to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Physical Requirements: standing, sitting, walking, stairs, lifting up to 50lbs, computer operation.
