Learn more about our business at . LockNet is seeking a Materials Manager to join our team! The Materials Manager is the first level of governance for materials acquisition and maintenance. This position is responsible for leading a team of buyers and ensuring the right materials are available at the right time, in the right quantity, and at the right cost in alignment with LockNet's overall strategy. The Materials Manager assures materials are sourced at the best possible price and quantity to meet forecasted needs by building and maintaining relationships with suppliers ensuring efficient transactions. Additionally, this person will collaborate with the warehouse and effected departments to track and optimize inventory levels, manage budgets, and ensure feasible costs related to materials and supplies.ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Oversee the procurement of materials to ensure adequate inventory levels.
  • Evaluate and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices and quality for materials.
  • Collaborate with other teams to determine supply needs and coordinate delivery schedules.
  • Analyze and maintain proper inventory levels and purchase timing of product to ensure availability for direct distribution.
  • Manage vendor relations, reporting, and performance management.
  • Lead and manage a team of buyers who effectively raise PO's, process acknowledgements, and ensure on time delivery.
  • Provide support for cross - functional teams, including sales operations and project management business unit, to support product simplification efforts related to SKU set up and maintenance.
  • Maintain detailed records of procurement activities, inventory levels, and supplier performance.
  • Train and supervise Buyers, ensuring efficient operations.
  • Monitor the quality of materials received and address any issues with suppliers.
  • Analyze financial reports and price proposals to manage the budget effectively.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and regulations.
Minimum QualificationsThe minimum qualifications include:
  • A bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • 3+ years proven experience in supply chain management, procurement, and people leadership is preferred.
  • Experience with Lean Principals and JIT Purchasing is preferred.
  • Organized, detail oriented, with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, work in a fast-paced environment, and learn concepts quickly
  • Familiarity with MRP logic and proficiency in MS Office.
  • Strong ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills to manage vendor relationships.
  • Ability to collaborate, lead, and motivate a team effectively.
  • Aptitude for identifying issues and implementing solutions promptly.
