If you like to make things happen and are passionate about what you do, you're going to want to be here.Join us and become part of the power behind possible.About The OpportunityManage and supervise all aspects of the materials department including inventory control, procurement, production scheduling, and distribution, to ensure proper forecasting and timely shipments of customer orders.Key Duties and Responsibilities:1. Lead the day to day operations of the plant supply chain, including inventory control, shipping and receiving, production scheduling and procurement.2. Oversee the execution of procurement and scheduling to ensure service metrics and customer demands are met.3. Manage inventory control programs across all material types to ensure accurate inventory and drive inventory reductions.4. Manage plant inventory investments including liquidating obsolete inventory, monitoring and improving inventory turns and management of stock levels.5. Oversee the shipping and receiving functions to optimize flow while facilitating a working warehouse and offsite warehouse, when applicable.6. Facilitate and execute continuous improvement activities.7. Other duties as assigned.Performance Measures and Outcomes1. Safety metrics2. On-time shipments3. Average lead time4. Ability to handle the stress of working with others2. Ability to be available outside of normal work hours3. Ability to assess employee performance and coach and develop others4. Ability to lead by example5. Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles6. Ability to use and influence organizational policies, standards and procedures guiding manufacturing practices7. Ability to effectively manage the business relationship and transactions with the suppliers of raw materials or product components8. Knowledge of the processes, tools, and operational considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and materials throughout the manufacturing cycle9. Knowledge of issues and considerations for effectively managing local or distributed inventories of raw materials, work in progress and finished goods10. Knowledge of methods, accepted practices, considerations and regulatory requirements associated with safety and protection of the employees, environment and site.Travel Requirements • 5% - 10% travel.
