Position Title: Materials/Logistics Manager (Monroe, NC)Responsibilities: Oversee the purchase and receipt of goods and services such as equipment/tools, parts, supplies and raw materials, as well as all inventories. This position will be responsible for the complete logistics function ensuring proper flow of product inventory and ancillary supplies to meet customer needs within inventory value guidelines. Design, implement and oversee a fully integrated, cross-functional process that includes capacity planning, scheduling, material and associated cost elements and inventory management. Establish, implement and maintain best practices and LEAN methods with regard to internal systems and processes supporting forecasting, purchasing and inventory and materials control. Coordinate with various business teams and develop a solid strategy for production planning with regard to customer demand. Perform customer demand and historical material usage analysis to develop and execute build to order/forecast plans and strategies. Partner with quality, engineering and operations to ensure 100% on-time delivery, establishing and monitoring schedule and proactively addressing potential issues. Maintain inventory count accuracy, working with Finance to implement and oversee an inventory control system that is capable of identifying discrepancies and taking corrective action. Participate as a key member of the Operations team and collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Process Engineering and Quality to achieve cost reduction targets. Ensure proper, timely and current process procedures are in place. Work with Engineering on new product approvals and manage new and old stock. Perform BOM adjustments and creation, as needed. Develop and reinforce proper inventory practices. Develop coordinated supplier selection plans (seek consolidation, reliable suppliers). 5% domestic travel to supplier sites.Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related field.
- Two (2) years of experience in utilizing ERP/MRP systems and applications in a manufacturing environment.
- Two (2) years of experience with DDMRP software.
- Two (2) years of materials and logistics experience.
- Two (2) years of experience using LEAN, Six Sigma, JIT and Kaizen principles.
- Two (2) years of experience using MS Office Suite products including Power BI, VBA and Access Database.
